Write Up:The 7 Hardy Hikers all showed up on a 100% chance of rain day wearing rain gear. It did
indeed rain while we were driving to the trailhead only to stop just before we arrived. As we
climbed the first hill the sky cleared, turned a magnificent blue and we enjoyed a beautiful
sunny day. We skipped Humpty’s Hill and fully enjoyed lunch with incredible views on Jill’s
Hill. One member identified 70 species of wild flowers on the trail. We made pretty good time
considering all the time the botanists spent bent over smelling and photographing the
flowers and butterflies. What a great day!
