Write Up:The route up Coyote Hills was a good, steady climb up mostly grassy slopes loaded with wild
flowers; shooting stars, orchids and forget-me-nots. We avoided any creek crossing by starting
north of the Baril Creek bridge on Highway 940. Great views of Plateau Mountain to the south,
Holy Cross to the north and Mount Armstrong to the west. Ever changing weather kept the day
interesting.
