Write Up:Weather and trail conditions were both excellent. We had sun all day and
only needed microspikes for a portion of the trail.
The route we took is not an official hike on all trails.
I believe it was introduced to CWH by the M and M's senior hiking club.
You cross the causeway and go north (not up to the lookout) on a wide
rolling trail to a beautiful picnic area by the river set up by Rafter
Six ranch which six picnic tables . On the way back there are big views
to the south. Great shoulder season hike.
