Write Up:There were six intrepid and determined women that went on this hike on
Sunday, Oct. 10th. We did not expect that blast of winter as we started
off on the 4.6 km Skogan Pass Trail to the trailhead to Pigeon Mountain.
Despite the swirling snow, gusting wind and poor visibility for most of
the hike, we found the hike exhilarating and refreshing and no-one
wanted to turn back before we hit the cairn at the top. Our lunch in the
trees was so much fun sharing stories and enjoying the relative shelter
of the trees. By the time we were back on the Skogan Pass Trail, the
snow cover was 3-4 cms deep and the drive home was an adventure.
