Write Up:Five of us headed off on a smoky, dim and humid morning. Even though it
is Sunday, we did not meet any other hikers on the trail either going
or coming: that must say something about us, but I'm not sure what.
We had a good trailhead discussion about air quality, pace and
willingness to turn back if need be, then proceeded at a good pace with
only occasional stops. It took about 2.25 hours to get to the picnic
table on Eagle Hill, where we enjoyed a relaxed lunch. The only
wildlife we saw was a frog and a couple of Canada geese.
We were all glad to be out in the mountains, even though we could not
see them.
