The nearby forest fire was extinguished and the trail was re-opened the day before our hike. We saw the scars of the fire near the highway below Razors Edge. It turned out to be a beautiful day with perfect hiking weather. I had a great group of four ladies for company and with all the chit chat never had to worry about bears. We encountered four mama grouses on the trail three of which had babies. The loop was 16.1 km with 842 meters of vertical. Climbing over the rocks on Razors Edge was fun and the views from Prairie View were fabulous. After a tough climb up the walk out Quaite Creek trail was relaxing. Thank you to my fellow hikers who shared this fantastic day with us.
