Write Up:The conditions were ideal today for our hike from the Ribbon Creek Parking Lot to The
Kananaskis Village. When we started out the temperature was 18 degrees . The trail
had a few muddy spots from the recent rain. Although there were lots of cars in the
parking lot when we arrived we only met 2 other hikers on the trail.There were lots of
lovely
wildflowers along the trail. When we got to the Village it was 24 degrees so we enjoyed
a leisurely lunch beside the pond. We took the Terrace Trail back to our cars. By the
time we got to the cars the temperature was warmer. There was smoke in the area that
did obscure the higher views but because it was higher it did not affect the air quality
for us.
It was a great day spent in the mountains with a great group of keen hikers!
