Write Up:A Big Welcome to our 2 new members Kim Berube, Jane West and guest Marina Elliott .
We had one new member who was a NO SHOW & while we were waiting the required extra 5 minutes for this person we heard a speeding vehicle
& then a loud bang. The vehicle flew off the road down into the deep ditch & was almost covered by trees.
Before we even realized what happened Marina our guest & new member in waiting jumped into action & drove back to Highwood House to get help
Thank you Marina for your quick response.
Lucky the 2 girls in the vehicle were not hurt.
Beautiful hot day with a wonderful group of hikers, great conversations. The flowers were plentiful & so were the horse flies.
We joined forces with Ruth's group at lunch time & then continued the rest of the hike as one group.
It was a great day.
