Write Up:The wind was fierce when we were getting ready to head out, so I
changed our route, opting to hike on the north side of the parking
lot instead of on the south side. The elevation gain was a bit less
than on the original route and we were a bit more sheltered from the
wind on the north side. Plus there is less snow on that side. In
the end we did 10 kms and everyone enjoyed the walk, especially the
sun-baked gradual descent on snowy Demi-Tel. Yes, there was mud in
places, hard to avoid at this time of year. Ursula
